A U-turn apiece

In his first contribution of 2008 to this paper (Prestigious Gambles) Alfred Sant has, in classical "sour grapes" fashion, tried to rubbish Malta’s adoption of the euro, calling it a "gamble". It is truly sad that our two political adversaries are never able to concede anything to each other. Has Dr Sant changed his party’s position on the euro again? Malta’s adoption of the euro is a very important development in our economic history and is a success of the Nationalist government - full stop.
