I can understand why people who have this condition have had a hard time. As far as not leaving the home, I can relate on a personal level since I had felt this way when I was a teen. I had to force myself to go to school on days that I knew I had to change for Physical Education Class because of the utter humiliation of disrobing and having everyone see my back. Even though I didn’t have so many people who didn’t like me, I still felt that shame with my body. Eventually I had surgery to remove them permanently. I wished that this technology were around in the late ’80’s when I was in high school. The people today are extremely lucky to have ways of treating them in non-surgical ways like Estetika. I hope that this treatment will help more people so they won’t ever have to go through what people in my generation did.

This affliction is currently instilled in my son who is 14. I feel for him so much because he hides in a toilet stall to change. Although it kills him inside when he has to change in front of his classmates in physical education class, he holds his head up high and doesn’t even flinch when someone gives his chest and right arm (where the acne is situated) an odd look. No one would really poke fun at him so much because he’s a 2nd string quarterback @ the local high school and quite good at doing hurdles for the track team, so he has athleticism on his side (since his father and I are naturally fit). Despite that, I have taken him to dermatologists to help with this. We have tried the popular brands that are on TV infomercials, but they only helped on a short-term basis. I don’t know much about Estetika, but I have heard of it before. If what people are saying here are true, this coupled with laser treatment may give my son back a level of pride in his body that he should have. I love him so much and I hate to see him feel so self-conscious about his own body let alone his perception of how others view his acne. Thank you for posting this. I hope to bring this up to his doctor when I take him next on December 1st. Have a good weekend.
