Hey fellow indie poppers!!!

On Saturday 24th October I’ll be holding my annual Dj event, Spots and Stripes and with three days to go I’m mighty EXCITED!!!! It’s really the only time I can dedicate a whole night to my favourite genre, that is INDIE POP or TWEE.

For those who dont know Indie pop is a genre of music that fuses together bits and pieces of The Beach Boys, The Byrds, motown and fifties pop radio hits and Velvet Underground. In other words it’s a highly melodic form of music, with a danceability and feel good factor. Although it’s roots lie in sixties music it came to the forefront in the eighties with the American group Beat Happening and it exploded in 1986.
