Harold Scorey Scholarship in Broadcast Journalism

The Harold Scorey Scholarship in Broadcast Journalism was established in memory of the late Harold Scorey who for a number of years headed the Rediffusion and Malta Television News Department.  The scholarship is open to journalists working in the broadcasting media or aspiring journalists who are interested in developing their skills in broadcast journalism.  The scholarship consists of a bursary of €5,000 and is intended to cover full or partial costs of training (professional courses or attachments) in broadcast journalism.

The successful candidate must make use of the scholarship during 2009.  Preference will be given to journalists working in the local public broadcasting field.  All applications will be examined by a board specifically appointed to conduct the selection process.
