Statement by the ministry of foreign affairs: situation in thailand
A large number of anti-Government demonstrators have taken over Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok.
Access to the airport is limited and departures have been suspended. Arrivals are being diverted to other airports in Thailand.
Travellers are strongly advised to check with their airline carrier or tour operator if planning to travel to Bangkok.
Suvarnabhumi International Airport should be avoided for the time being until airlines resume their scheduled flights.
The situation in Bangkok remains highly volatile and unpredictable. ”
