MS Navision- A Typical Upgrade
Steps:
- Make a working copy of the customer’s database (objects only).
- Get the Improved Objects from the target version database.
- Go back into your Working Copy database and import the Navision Object file into the Object Designer.
- Review the four possibilities again.
- Review the Conflicts list.
- For each object in the Conflicts List, ask yourself if the upgrade modification is small?
- Change the Version that is displayed on the Help About screen.
- Compile all objects.
- Create the Upgraded Objects file.
- Select all the filtered objects (use CTRL+A) and export them as a Navision Object File.
- Install the Upgraded Objects on your customer site.
