The visit of the Green MEP will, I’m sure, be very busy. I offer two agenda items to help her get the best overall picture.

1 Take her up to the lighthouse, San Dimitri or Zebbug from where you can see Sicily. Explain that there is no direct connection. An eco-island will need a seaborne link to avoid the majority of all visitors having to fly first of all to Malta. I have worked out that under some circumstances it could be quicker to fly to Catania and use a fast catamaran than going on to MIA, car ride, ferry wait etc. There is also the environmental benefit of a shorter Catania flight using less fuel.
