Russian Opera and Song and the Italianate tradition

A recital of Art Songs and Operatic arias from the Russian and
Italianate tradition featuring amongst others, music by
Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Rachmaninov, Puccini, Verdi and Mozart. Apart from
the more well known works, most of the repertoire will be premiered in
Malta. Special guest soprano Katia Akimenko from St. Petersburg will
perform alongside baritone Ken Scicluna and pianist John-Anthony Fsadni.
In collaboration with the Russian Centre for Science and Culture.
