PR 03/03/08 ALTERNATTIVA DEMOKRATIKA CONDEMNS HUNTERS FEDERATION SECRETARY HATE SPEECH

Alternattiva Demokratika deplores the threatening attitude of FKNK Secretary General Lino Farrugia, when addressing a meeting for hunters in Rabat yesterday. Mr Farrugia was reported of accusing the Malta Today editor Saviour Balzan and environmentalist Joe Sultana of “betraying the hunters and of making written promises that were broken”.

Mr Farrugia also went on to add that “Birdlife Malta and AD candidate Prof. Arnold Cassola hate the hunters and want to eliminate hunting completely”. Alternattiva Demokratika strongly condemns Mr Farrugia for trying to instigate his members against the individuals mentioned. No amount of threats will stop AD from continuing its campaign to stop the malpractice of hunting during the spring season.
