DEVI - Assignment Statement - The Statement Separator

‘;’ is the statement separator.
When the compiler reaches a semicolon, it knows it has reached the end of a statement.

Syntax:

[ <statement> ]  { ; <statement> } ]

Note that whenever a semicolon is used, a statement must follow.
The semicolon does not signal the end of a statement, it signals the arrival of a new statement.
