DEVI - Introduction to C/AL Programming - C/AL
Definition
C/AL (Client Application Language) is the programming language used in C/SIDE in MS Navision.
What is it used for?
The main purpose is data manipulation.
You can create business rules to insure that the data in tables are meaningful and consistent with the way clients do business.
Another purpose is to control the execution of the various C/SIDE objects.
You are able to coordinate them in a way that meets the needs of your clients.
Where is it used?
It is found in MS Navision object.
The CodeUnit application object is used for programming.
Object Designer –> CodeUnit –> press Design button.
Other objects may have C/AL statements.
The code is found in triggers within the object.
