Scream Daisy’s new song ‘Pretty’
Local music outfitScream Daisy are releasing another single from their second album duethis October. The new song is entitled ‘Pretty’ and it exposes thegentle side of the band’s new sound. The song will be released to alllocal radio stations on Wednesday 26th September. A promotional videois also being produced to support the song’s release.
“This songis best described by its title”, said the band’s lead singer JothamSaliba. “If ever Scream Daisy wrote a feel good song, this is it. It isdefinitely different to all that we have released before, but we thinkthat different is good, and in a sense, our new album is a bit of amusical celebration of that notion.”
The band has been busypreparing for the release of their second album and have performedextensively during the summer months. They have also recently presentedtheir first live unplugged set as a full band.
In themeantime, their last single ‘Bees’ has been very well received by fansand the band was delighted to reach the number one spot on local radiocharts for the first time.
On the 25th of September, ‘Bees’will also be featured as track of the day in the Alternative Rocksection of the website GarageBand.com following a string of positivereviews by musicians and music lovers from all over the world. “It iscertainly a good space to be in after all the work that goes intomaking an album. We can’t wait to make our new collection available tothe public”, said Jotham.
‘Pretty’ was recorded at David Vella’s Temple Studios in Mistra. David hasproduced the band’s forthcoming album as well as their first album, ‘InCase ofEmergency’, which included fan favourites ‘Room 7′ and ‘Wolf in aSheep’sSkin’.
Scream Daisy are Jotham Saliba, Lincoln Spiteri, Jeremy Micallef, Tim Vella Briffa and Gary Grech.
ScreamDaisy will be performing at Saqqajja in Rabat next Saturday, 29thSeptember in an open air concert organised by the Rabat Local Council.Event starts at 8.00pm and entrance is free.
