EXTREME MALTESE METAL FESTIVAL
The biggest metal event on the island this year!! 10 bands that shall perform alternately on 2 stages, at the Montekristo wine vaults, Hal-Farrug street, Luqa, on Saturday 15th September. The venue consists of a brand new enormous hall, home of Malta’s own Montekristo wine and Caqnu beer. The bands taking part in this event are the best extreme metal bands the island has to offer, with styles of metal including hardcore, death metal, thrash and doom. The bands are: Angelcrypt, Arachnid, Club murder, Corefrequency, Ktinodia, Lithomancy, Loathe, Recoil, Slit and Weeping Silence.
For those who are not sure of the whereabouts of the venue, just take the road from Luqa to Qormi past Mambra and SML store, and take the road on the left at the next roundabout (the one with the ‘injection’ monument). Then keep going straight and follow the signs. Transport will be provided from Valletta leaving at 5.30p.m. (so please be there earlier) and after the festival has ended leaving at 2.15a.m. to wherever needed. Doors open at 5.30 p.m. and first band kicks off at 6.30p.m. sharp. Entrance fee shall be an economical Lm5, which is not much considering a good show from 10 great bands. There shall be band and metal merchandise stalls, well stocked bars and a food stall. This promises to be an event that will satiate the thirst of metal lovers who have long awaited a good festival!!
