As part of its ongoing’ 100% Malta Grown Project’, Emmanuel Delicata has upgraded two more of its popular wines so that they are now entirely locally grown. The two red wines, previously made from Italian grapes, are the first wines from the Delicata Classic Collection to be made exclusively from Malta grown grapes.

Marenzio Merlot and Carissimi Cabernet Sauvignon, from the newly launched 2006 vintage, have had their labels adapted to reflect the varietal wines new provenance. This transformation has come about as the company’s twelve year old viticultural development project has reached maturity.

The remaining white wines in the Classic Collection will also become Malta Grown with the grapes picked from this year’s 2007 harvest.
