kinemastikus is bringing another westside film fest to a gardjola near you…
pleasure of ours it is indeed, to announce this year’s short film fest, that somehow grew like a child that was born three years ago and now it grew to the size of a three year old??!!?!
thank you for your patience and understanding that we are very excited to offer 3 nights of small films to you and some other people. therefore it takes a careful planning of how to address you and explain you in a few words that we have lots of things happening. so its best to start at once. on friday, 6th july at 5pm, neal fox will open his exhibition called “aubergine tongue” at the pub (ollie’s) in archbishop street in valletta. we shall have some drinks there and then head to gnien il gardjola, where, at 8:30, we will open this year’s

once you get there, or eventually, you ll realise that we put some emphasis on nordic film, god bless it. call it what you want, but we ll have kasper rasmussen and jensen kristiansen amongst you, dear audience. these gentlemen are the organisers of cosmic zoom fest in copenhagen and have kindly contributed to the nordic section of this year’s programme. three british filmmakers: walter newton, adam lieber and mr martin clark will be around too, so buy them a drink.
festival has its party too. uncle al is coming from brighton for a major crowd pleaser to meet a local giant woodyaki, so buy them a drink. visual hand, iron sight will be in the house so buy them a house. party is at lo squero at midnight, on saturday 7th july, after the screening.
you might say, dear reader, what about films? and you d be right.. what about films? we ll get to that next time and some of it, our press releases will cover, but we thought you should know this first. as from today, limited number of tickets are available from st james cavalier in valletta and “more” shop from paceville avenue.
