Re: Is it feasible to use Excel as a database front-end?
It sounds as if you have a good understanding of why you do probably need to move it off into a database rather than keeping it in Excel. Don’t forget to do a close examination of the data structure you have now and do a good design on the database’s table relationships.

Re: Access 2007 database hosted on Share Point 2007 server
Steve, thank you for the response. Basically I have previously setup a data access page for users to access a database on a shared drive…but unfortunately the database is pretty big (980K after compacting) and the shared drive is VERY VERY slow. Yes, you can publish an Access 2007 database to a SharePoint site.

Unrecognized database format
I’m having trouble opening a database a client has sent me. I keep getting an “unrecognized database format” error. The database was created in Access 2003. I’m trying to open it with Access 2003. If the database is corrupt, I would suspect that she’d be getting errors on her end, too, but she’s not.

Re: Unlock database
I’m facing a problem at work - there’s a database I need to access to make revisions to the data as well as adding data. Re: Hiding the Database list from a certain user\group
I would like them to only see there db’s and not all them. I have read and see that I am not able to do this. I believe that in EM, you will see only the databases you have access to. In SQL Server Management Studio that comes with SQL 2005, it’s a different story. Here you cannot hide databases.
