Linspire latest sell out to Microsoft Patent FUD
on June 14 will announce an agreement to license VoIP, Windows Media, and TrueType font technology from Microsoft for use in its Linux distribution. Additionally, the deal includes protection for Linspire customers against possible violations of Microsoft patents by Linux, and other cooperative measures.

Re: cannot connect to Microsoft sites
I am having this exact same problem. Upon the very first attempt to load the internet all microsoft sites fail to load. MSN, Hotmail, Microsoft.com or support.microsoft. com all say “Done” on the status bar, but fail to actually load the page. This means I cannot do any updates or register any Microsoft software.

How do I make Microsoft Word default application
How do I make Microsoft Word default application when opening .doc files from Hotmail? I have Vista and my version of Word is from a Microsoft Office XP for Students and Teachers. Somehow Hotmail chose Windows Word Pad as the default application which doesn’t give the full document.
