Re: Java on FreeBSD 6.x – reserving too much memory.
I administrate a couple of -STABLE servers running Java applications and i notice they reserve somewhere between 500 megs and 800 megs of memory, even for the simplest of applications. Is this something to worry about when i now need to increase the number of Java applications running simultaneously?

I thought single exit was a very good idea when I was programming in assembly languages and later in C. Is it a good idea in Java, or just a habit? Good question. It mostly works for me in Java though, as I said earlier, its mainly conditioned by my tracing philosophy.
