BEYOND THE BARRICADE AT THE MANOEL THEATRE THIS WEEKEND!

After playing to four sell-out houses at the Manoel Theatre, Valetta in 2005, the UK’s leading musical theatre concert, Beyond the Barricade is set to return on 27 – 29 April.  The cast of Andy Reiss, (musical director of Masquerade’s recent smash-hit, The Rocky Horror Show) David Fawcett, Katie Leeming and Claire Marlowe, complete with their live band, recreate the sounds, music and sound of the world’s most popular musicals.

Known for their superb rendition of the hit songs from Les Miserables - after all, they all took leading roles in that musical in the West End or the UK tour- the cast also present songs from the new shows on the block, including Wicked, Spamalot and Billy Elliot.

Beyond the Barricade is widely acknowledged as the principal show of its genre in the UK and during 2007 it has embarked on a 120-date tour, which includes a number of outdoor concerts and a 12-date visit to Denmark. 2008 sees the show touring South Africa and the Far East, as well as dates in Monaco, Spain and Ireland.

In addition to the shows mentioned, the Beyond the Barricade repertoire includes music from Jesus Christ Superstar, Blood Brothers, The Phantom of the Opera, We Will Rock You, Miss Saigon Chicago and many more all performed live in concert – a show not to be missed!

Beyond the Barricade is being brought to Malta by Masquerade Theatre Company and supported by Malta Tourism Authority, Bank of Valletta, Air Malta, Portomaso, and Travelex Financial Services.  Booking is open from the Manoel Theatre on 21246389, e: //bookings [Email address: //bookings #AT# teatrumanoel.com.mt/ - replace #AT# with @ ], www.manoeltheatre.com.  For full details please visit www.masquerademalta.com.
