Musto HPX jacket, trousers and shoes with GD360 sole
Musto’s top-of-the-range fabric HPX now has a new formulation that has had the seal of approval in Southern Ocean conditions by the winning Volvo Ocean Race skipper Mike Sanderson.
The advantage of the new fabric, says Musto, is that it is more water repellent and also slightly stiffer, creating a thicker insulating layer of air between the oilskin and the underlayer.
The say they have also cracked the wet cling problem you get in high windspeeds, thanks to better drape characteristics. It is high-tech stuff! Aimed at blue-water cruisers as well as ocean athletes, the new HPX range is also re-designed, with small but effective adjustments to the hood, cuffs, zips, pockets and reflectors.
There is also something called a spume pod – it is a face-protector which is now three-dimensional, enabling you to breath behind it. Musto is launching a new GD360 sole on various deck shoes and trainers with, better grip on all deck types from teak to laminates.
Also new is a laptop bag and other luggage accessories.
