Island Packet SP Cruiser

Unlike deck-saloon yachts that combine internal comfort and panoramic views with good sailing performance, the SP Cruiser is a motor-sailor: she has a chunky hull, 100hp of Yanmar diesel and plenty of top-hamper.

Island packet have aimed her at people for whom sails are very much a secondary means of propulsion, and have kept the rig both small and easy to manage. Sheets from the all-rolling rig lead to a single electric winch in the aft cockpit, while a second cockpit forward of the wheelhouse provides lounging space for less active members of the crew.
