Lewmar D1
A compact design with a grey plastic body and black plastic lever; the body is bolted together with crosshead bolts.
To grip the rope it uses a unique domino mechanism. The D1 can give a controlled release under load through its variable geometry handle.
Best for release under load. A very competent jammer that is the easiest to release under load. Modular construction and competitively priced. Accepts only a narrow range 10-12mm of rope diameters.
